A reception was organized on the occasion of Pakistan’s National Day by the Mission at Hotel Le’ Royal in Amman in the evening of March 22, 2017. The reception was preceded by the recitation of the Holy Quran and the national anthems of Jordan and Pakistan.
The Ambassador, during his remarks, went over the history of the creation of Pakistan, the contributions of Pakistan in the war on terror and the sacrifices of the people of Pakistan. The Ambassador expressed his solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Palestine. He highlighted the historic relations between Pakistan and Jordan in political, economic, military, diplomatic and cultural spheres, based on shared values and common perceptions in most regional and international affairs. During the ceremony, a troupe from Tafeela organized by Pakistan Graduates’ Club in Jordan also performed to exhibit Jordanian culture.
The reception was attended by a large number of dignitaries comprising notable members of Pakistan-Jordan Friendship Association of the Jordanian Senate inclusive of Senator Atif Al Tall, President of Pakistan Graduates’ Club, Dr. Zaid al Muhasin, President of Pakistan-Jordan Friendship Association, Fakhri Abu Talib, members of Pakistan Women’s Cultural Association under the patronage of HRH Princess Sarvath Al Hassan, ministers, diplomats, defense attachés, business community, staff of the Embassy, prominent media personnel from Jordan and Pakistani community in Jordan.
